What is Home Care

Home care (known as social care, or care at home) provides hourly, weekly, or 24-hour support to vulnerable adults who need extra help at home, whether that is with personal care, household chores, assistance on social outings, companionship, or specialist care in relation to complex medical or mobility needs.

Our home care packages are custom-made for adults aged eighteen and upwards, and are entirely flexible, giving you total freedom over how you wish to be supported.

HOW DOES HOME CARE WORK

When deciding on a home care plan for the first time, every person’s situation is unique. The level of support required will depend entirely upon the person’s wants and needs, always considering the method that best supports their mental wellbeing and stability.

If you decide you need hourly support around the home, such as assistance with getting out of bed, getting dressed, or even popping to the shops, then our Domiciliary Care packagesare best for you. A team of personally selected carers will ‘drop in’ on a daily or weekly basis, at a time of your choosing, to fulfil your requirements. This allows you to continue your day as you please. before they return later that day to assist you further, if required, for example, to cook you a healthy meal or simply share a cup of tea!

Alternatively, you may require a more long-term care solution, such as 24-hour Live-in Care, or Complex Care. which can not only help make day-to-day life feel more manageable, it provides the option to have a carer available to assist on more of a permanent basis.

We appreciate it can be hard, at first, to come to terms with the thought of a carer coming to visit you in your home each day, or a live-in carer who will stay with you 24/7. However the beauty of home care is that it does not interfere with your daily routine, instead it compliments your lifestyle, keeping you safe and well looked-after, in the place you feel the happiest – at home.
